On 12th September 2024 our Board of Trustees issued a statement to our families and the wider community regarding the future of Riding Mill Outdoor Preschool. Sadly Broomhaugh C of E First School have notified the committee that it requires our current site back for its own use, meaning RMOP will have to vacate the premises by July 2026.

We welcomed our first Ofsted inspection at our new site in July 2021 and are very proud to say we received a ‘GOOD’ rating! Please click here to read the full report.
You may have already met our new apprentice Ash, she has joined our staff team whilst she works towards her apprenticeship qualifications. Here she is pictured with our amazing (and very bright!) new floodlight donated very generously by the Rosby family – thank you so much, we are very grateful.

On Monday 14th December 2020 children, parents and staff from RMOP took part in a festive twilight walk to raise funds for our wonderful setting. Check out our GoFundMe page for more information. Thank you to everyone who has already donated we are very grateful! We were also lucky enough to welcome the Holly and Ivy Roadshow to our yurt to get us in the festive mood for our fundraising walk – and a lovely time was had by all in attendance.

We are very grateful to local business Osbit who have sponsored our Engineering Shed. Read the press release here.
In April 2019 Hug at Home (www.hugathome.co.uk) donated some lovely rugs for our porch and yurt. The staff and children are very grateful as now most of the mud stays outside!
